Let me encourage you if you are called to an equipping ministry in the Church to focus entirely upon the reality and integrity of the call of God on your life and not the support, respect, or appreciation of people. People are in their sickbed because they have allowed familiarity to cage them. If we act upon the principles laid down in the word of God, we shall have no inclination to indulge in undue familiarity. Instead, Scripture encourages us to compare ourselves with the holiness of Jesus. The people around may have seen the weakness and errors of the minister of God. Leviticus 19:31 - Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.Isaiah 8:19 - And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God?
